Calculus Capital has been shortlisted for two accolades in the inaugural Investment Week Tax Efficiency Awards.
Calculus is one of just four firms shortlisted in the Best Generalist Venture Capital Trust (VCT) category, and is also in the running for Best Generalist Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) provider.
Investment Week comments: changes to the pensions regime in the UK have turned the attentions of investors towards tax-efficient schemes. At the same time, the government remains committed to encouraging the tax-efficiency sector to fill the gap left by banks in providing finance for early-stage and growth companies.
The awards have been established to recognise the most successful and forward-thinking providers in the areas of VCTs and EIS. Alongside performance criteria, the awards acknowledge the degree to which providers help promote a greater understanding of the sector and its benefits with investors and, crucially, advisers.
Calculus CEO John Glencross said: “These new awards honour not just strong investment performance but also a commitment to excellent client service and engagement with the industry, we are proud of our performance in both respects and are delighted to be shortlisted.”
