Calculus Capital, the private equity fund manager and Enterprise Investment Scheme and VCT specialist, was named Best EIS Investment Manager in the Growth Investor Awards 2016.
The awards, which were announced on Thursday 3rd November, recognise the achievements of those enabling ‘scale-up’ businesses to realise their full potential and drive Britain’s economic growth.
The Best EIS Investment Manager award is judged on the manager’s investment volume, contribution to the EIS community, outreach to clients and the beneficial impact on investee companies.
The judging panel was made up of independent figures drawn from the alternative investment industry and the wider business community.
John Glencross, CEO of Calculus Capital, said: “We take great pride in the fact that a panel of respected independent judges have recognised our contribution to the EIS industry and our expertise in supporting and developing promising businesses.
“We launched the UK’s first approved EIS fund back in 1999 and our highly experienced team continue to work hard to stay ahead of the field.”
It is the latest award for Calculus, which has also earned the EIS Association’s EIS Fund Manager of the Year title on four occasions, including the 2016 ceremony.
The Growth Investor Awards are organised by Intelligent Partnership as part of a national campaign to raise awareness about impact and innovation in growth capital.
